I'll never forget the 26th of February, 2021. It was a hot and humid day in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. My Youngstown State Penguins were on the road to Play the LSU Tigers. I was on the mound in the bottom of the 1st inning. I was facing Cade Beloso after a one-out single. Trailing 2-0 in the count I knew I had to can a Fastball. My heater wasn't the best that day and I said to myself pre-pitch "This is going to be right down the middle and it might go 400 feet." I was wrong, it was middle-in and went about 440 feet, it left the stadium over the right-field bleachers in Alex Box Stadium. The main point here? What you tell yourself matters, inner dialogue can be your best friend or your worst enemy. The choice is yours.
